Babia Hora

The signature full-day outing from Slaná Voda. Babia Hora rises to 1,725 m and is one of Orava’s defining landmarks.

  • start by Chata Slaná Voda or the Oravská Polhora – Slaná voda bus stop,
  • the Slaná voda – Babia Hora nature trail is about 8.5 km long and has 8 stops,
  • a full-day hike can continue via Malá Babia Hora and return as a circuit,
  • expect wind and rapid weather changes on the ridge, and wear sturdy footwear.

Hviezdoslav Avenue

A shorter, gentler outing for guests who do not want to climb all the way to the summit.

03 Easy walk

Mineral spring

Slaná voda gave the area its name. The iodine-bromine spring is one of the most distinctive places near the lodge.
